In Gina Palmerin’s solo exhibit, “Icons and Legends”, the artist brings jointly her two portfolios: “Photo Day, The Icons”, and “Legends”. Palmerin notes, “My inspiration is to modernize the iconic and the typical by expressing myself with lively coloration and fascinating and intriguing compositions. 

My first inspiration for ‘Picture Day, The Icons’ was to develop a memory of a time, when social and political ideologies did not appear to exist. As this assortment progressed, I realized that I experienced captured this moment, a snapshot, a photo of some of the most important icons in recent record at that magical elementary university age, participating in on the playground, just like you and me.”

Gina Palmerin is a self-taught artist who resides in Los Angeles, California. During her twenties, Gina experimented with many unique influences and models, this sort of as early 20th century Mexican Murals, Mexicanidad, Art Nouveau, Classicism, Surrealism and Pop Artwork.
